Amid all the fuss, remember that for much of the 1960s and 1970s, "the Spare" Andrew Windsor was just one unfortunate incident away from being the next king.

Hopefully, this appalling saga will lead to a proper national debate on our hereditary monarchy.

Long, long overdue.

JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵

Do we have a precedent for a this ? A national broadcaster ignoring possible treason , isn’t that in itself sort of treasonous 🥴 ?
Seems @Nigel_Farage is trying damage limitation on the Reform Russian Bribes scandal.

He’s known Nathan Gill for 20 years, and claims he knew nothing.

No one believes you, Nigel.

Keep the story moving. Questions must be answered.

If you require migrants to meet higher standards than the average Brit, whether that is in terms their language requirements, voluntary service, which isn't remotely "voluntary" if it is compulsory, or anything else then you have a system which is by definition discriminatory. One which dehumanises.

There was no problem with trans people.

Then bigoted conformists decided to make one.

They circulated lie after lie continually, to make it look like there was a problem.

It was easy with a tiny minority to think some of it was true.

They’ll repeat the strategy.

Until every person conforms.

Fundamentally, there always has to be something extreme to rile up reactionaries or all these pages would fill up with our actual real problems and people demanding action to fix them. And as we’ve seen, the lads will crash the bus again and again, before they ever allow that to happen.

There's no excuse of ignorance any more. Every single person on that fascist march knew who Tommy Robinson was and every single one of them knew why they were there.

This isn't Brexit. People weren't conned. They willingly went out to join in, led by a five times jailed thug. Stop making excuses.

The people marching in London today are very obviously the ideological descendants of the Mosleyite BUF fascists of the 1930s.

The mainstream news and media are too timid to point it out, but that's what they are - and we normalise it at our peril.

On the money.
The murder of Charlie Kirk was criminal, wrong, and should be condemned.

And Charlie Kirk was a horrible, hateful man who spent his life radicalizing young people to embrace their worst demons by targeting women, people of color, immigrants, and the marginalized.

I refuse to sanitize him.

Once again we are forced to remind journalists that no country in the history of the world has ever prospered by making its population less educated.

Sixty percent of Chinese 18-yr-olds go to university.
but “financially better off” and “doing a job you love” aren’t synonyms. arts careers are underpaid (and that isn’t universities’ fault) but that clearly doesn’t stop people from wanting to be artists.
