Although formally a science and mathematics educator, I am somewhat a polymath. I’ve held almost every position there is in K-12 schools. My ‘easy’ - as in subject that I taught the most - is Physics. One of my chief skills is adjusting abstract concepts to general audiences.

So, I’ve given up hoping and/or prompting LGBTQIA pages (mostly on fb) to clean up bigoted comments.
They either are overwhelmed, or don’t care, or somehow think that leaving them to be answered by queer people is valid. 1/

It didn’t stay this sunny for long! Currently we have thunderstorms although not much rain, and a heatwave warning until Thursday. Today is nominally 26°C but felt worse. Four days above 30°C this week!

We’ve had a couple of lots of rain, and some thunder during the day. About 15 minutes of it was very heavy. It supposedly got to 28°C, but it didn’t feel like it. We had a quiet day at home, the housemates mostly kept out of the way.

Right from when the anti-trans campaign was started, about 9 years ago, the aim has been to attack the very idea of people existing in anyway other than what the Christian Nationalists approve of.

The thunderstorm did indeed turn up last night, not for long, but it was very close. I am noise-sensitive most of the time, but at one point I actually jumped 😂🤦🏼♀️ there must have been more rain at some point, and it seems to be light rain now.
