Today is four years since my mum died. I spent most of the day reflecting on loss, especially in the past four years, and was overwhelmed with it all. I’ve begun pulling out of it, because I have to, I just can’t function and survive otherwise.

Possums here are protected species, and to be fair, we humans built in their habitat. Also, they are cute and will woo you by showing off their babies. This was very likely a brushtail possum, but ringtails also live in the area.
