It is increasingly hard to summarize Joe Biden’s approach to being president and a human being. It’s so bad. All I know is Jimmy Carter’s administration wasn’t remembered well and it will be remembered fondly compared to the Biden years. And Jimmy turned out to be a good guy at least.

Like, this was the reality. They were denied HIV medication, beaten, and sexually assaulted by both guards and other detained immigrants. The conditions were absolutely horrific. But instead, they're a perfect scapegoat for comfortable white men like Favreau.

I haven't spoken to anyone contemplating an unlawful border crossing, and I don't believe any undocumented inmates have petitioned for gender-affirming surgery (but the law has long required federal prisons to provide gender-affirming care)
