Art friends: Here's a tip for getting rid of *a lot* of the AI slop in your Pinterest feed.
⭐Go into your account settings.
⭐Click the "Refine your recommendations" tab.
⭐Click the GenAI Interests subtab.
⭐TURN OFF EVERYTHING.
So far, my feed is *significantly* cleaner.

creatives get it in their heads that standard for skill means getting it right on the first round and think backtracking is weakness, but backtracking is literally the process

I changed the way I work a couple of months ago to follow this advice, it made a big difference and my productivity went up by miles.

Not to be unkind, but I am so impatient about the “what’s the point of making my little zines/comics/crafts/art when the world is on fire” sentiments. I get it, but saving the world is not a responsibility shouldered by your art! That’s what being a neighbor, a friend, and hell, a citizen is for!!!

One thing we worked on is a different tool to complement Nightshade. We discovered a new attack on diffusion models that is more generalizable than Nightshade. It targets an entirely different part of AI training pipeline, basically making AI models poison themselves.
