Did parenthood make you unable to read or watch things you had previously enjoyed? I must admit, I find it much harder to watch certain horror movies now. And I can't get through certain Sylvia Plath poems without bursting into tears.

On Friday we went to the library and Rowan picked out a book for 6 year olds and insisted on trying to read it. Yesterday he saw our neighbour's cat and chased her down the street for a hug. He is his mother's son.

I remember one time in college I found out my housemate had never seen An American Werewolf in London and we loaded up Netflix so excited to watch it but had to stop because our other housemate had just gotten broken up with on our doorstep by her boyfriend of FIVE YEARS.
