The answer is sadly the same damn way every fucking tome so far.
Problem is that they know they can bank on white innocence and naivety to some extent. Hell, history has shown they can multiple times and will be allowed to move freely without any repercussions. It is gonna be dependent on how white people respond to them this time that makes a difference.

White people get obsessed with being the legendary John Brown because they see it as how they can center themselves as white people to save Black people, they don't see being down with or in community with or following the lead of Black people as part of it, because they don't do those things.

I don't think it's being conceptualized that this country was running on (and reaping the benefits of) forced free labor for almost 300 years of it's existence. The powerhouse known as America today would not be what it is w/o that and they are still leveraging it.
