She/they. Indigenous. Occasionally fannish.
Before we knew what asmr was, we had soothing people on tv doing crafts and cutting construction paper

Quick life update:
My colleagues all came together and organized an Indigenous blanketing ceremony for me, honouring the work I've been doing the past decade. Ceremony was today. For those who've watched me wrestle with this job, I thought you'd like to know

I will be lying down staring into space if anyone needs me, a relic from the late 1900s.
I will never recover from this student email.

The Mr. is making Cornish pasties & I'm excited. Of course the pastry portion is under my supervision as he knows nothing about short crusts.

Wearing a high adhesion base coat but still, I looked down and this whole nail of polish just popped off without my knowledge

Ooh, am I in danger of actually become Crowley? Because I'll take it, agony and all.
Be careful! During Halloween, the veil between our world and the great beyond is at its thinnest. You will never be in more danger of becoming an actual slutty nurse

Man, I love handing out candy on Halloween. Everyone is so excited and happy and they love it when you point out what they're dressed as. It's so pure and lovely. I wished V (for vendetta) a happy evening fomenting chaos.

Sitting outside in my cold car waiting to go inside for a meeting, solely because I can't bear talking to people more than absolutely necessary right now. Have a peopley job is difficult sometimes

Such is my rabbit hole of Good Omens fixation that I find myself listening to the BBC radio production of Hamlet at bedtime on a Saturday night (after a bottle of wine) just to hear Michael Sheen. I'm swept away with it, honestly. Remembering my love of Shakespeare

As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).

Exercised today for the first time in awhile. Not as hard as starting after a very long absence, so that was nice. Trying to unfuck my life, a little at a time

Just had the (common) experience of saying something rather straightforward in a meeting, only to have a man repeat it (less succinctly) without acknowledging that I said it first.

Upside: another man referred back to my points w appropriate acknowledgment (deliberately, knowing what happened)

Took a side joke about dressing in 90's fashions to a Board briefing tonight and ran with it. Lots of pins in the hair, choker necklace, full Buffy TVS makeup (S1). If they wanted someone serious, they should have hired someone serious.

I often wonder who knows Bowmore from my window and looks for him when they pass by. He's always there, watching over the world

Just saw an advertisement for an “equine hospital,” and I’m sorry, if you’re not going to call it a horsepital, what even is the point.

Am feeling intense pressure to live up to ridiculous expectations at work, and that level of pressure + 10% to simply escape into multiple fandoms & rekindle my nonsense-writing brain
