Sincerely delighted to discover, 45 minutes into this nearly-wordless three-hour documentary about French monks who take vows of silence, that among the reasons they *can* talk is "to make sure the monastery cats know when it's mealtime by making little kitty-calling noises at them."

So hey, let’s start off 2025 maybe making somebody’s life better in a small tangible way. What is a small practical thing—object, lifehack, whatever—that solved a small annoyance for you?

For me, did you know you can buy clips with elastic specifically to hold the corner of your fitted sheet on?

Shoe/boot cleaning is encouraged if you hike in areas with geese/ducks/etc around. I currently have a separate set of boots for my local park hikes that I take off as soon as I get back to my car and bag until I can clean them at home.
