Bankruptcy attorney, foodie, and dog-mom. All thoughts and opinions are my own and do not reflect the position of my employer, Rebecca Herr, Standing Chapter 13 Trustee.
When I had my bankruptcy firm, I filed one student loan adversary proceeding for a client. I got him to the negotiating stage, then had to withdraw due to taking my current job. He took everything I gave him AND GOT HIS STUDENT LOANS DISCHARGED! I'm so proud of him and thrilled that he got this win!

I don't know if it's true love or a byproduct of the fact my partner has been with me for ten years, but there's something truly special about the moment you say, "I want a box of oatmeal creme pies," and your partner responds with, "Okay, and what other baked good?" @etwilkin.bsky.social

My wife, Erica, is running in the Cherry Blossom races this weekend. She booked and paid for the hotel room. I turned on the TV this morning and what do we see.... #FthePatriarchy

"Immigrants are taking all the jobs!"

It's kind of true, except it's just one immigrant and he's just eliminating everyone's jobs.

Journalists saying birthright citizenship is just "the most common interpretation" of the Fourteenth Amendment is going to drive me up a wall.

Yes I know sometimes legalese is confusing. This is not one of those times. Birthright citizenship is in the Constitution, full stop, clear as day.

You know those “history of all life as a 24 hr day” charts, where humans appear at a minute before midnight? A timeline of all human civilization as a day would have democracy appearing at about the same time.

Had a 1-mile benchmark at OrangeTheory this morning which highlighted exactly how slow I've gotten in the last ten years due to weight gain and general lack of training. Here's to doing better.

Today I was granted access to speak with incarcerated firefighters.

They told me:
- they hadn’t showered in 5 days
- they were not provided regularly meals
- they were working 24 hours in a row
- they feel under appreciated and underpaid

Boss made a dollar,
Grandad made a dime.
But that was a poem
From a simpler time.

Boss made a thousand,
Gave my Dad a cent.
But that coin paid the mortgage,
Or at least it paid the rent.

Now bosses make a billion,
And give us workers jack.
Then smugly blame society,
For the labor that they lack.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Today is a good day to thank undocumented immigrants.
🦃 3/4 of them are essential workers vital to keeping our country running.

They make up:
📌 23% of construction workers
📌 40%–55% of agriculture workers
📌 25% of food preparation & serving workers
📌 8% of healthcare workers

In 1890, the X and Y chromosomes were discovered. It was found that the men who were tested had 46 chromosomes, including an X and a Y, while women who were tested also had 46 chromosomes, including 2 X chromosomes.
So obviously the conclusion was that the Y chromosome defined masculinity.

MAGAs have made it extremely clear that they will ONLY accept public speech from Democrats and the left if they get to viciously abuse and threaten us as much as they want in return.

Fuck that.

Don’t fall for their lies about “echo chambers.”

It’s advice they’re never asked to take.

this one easy trick will put a lot of black people into an early grave
Trump HHS nominee RFK Jr.:

If you give Black children “resilience” then “the inevitable racism” will “bounce off” them like they are “the Avengers” because “they will be immune to it” and “then we don’t have to stop racism altogether, because we’re never going to be able to do that.”
