For alignment, the legacy version of an Imp will show its alignment as "LE", whereas the remastered version will show it having the Unholy trait.

On Nethys, you can see if something is remastered or not by the bar up the top saying "There is a Remastered version here" or "There is a Legacy version here", and you can use those links to swap between the two versions.

Pathfinder 1e and Pathfinder 2e are not compatible, no. I'm talking about 2e, and the remaster they had to do after WotC threatened to revoke the OGL. When 2e originally came out, it had alignment and other things from 1e, but since 2023 they've reworked the game to remove D&D-derived mechanics.

The legacy versions of creatures and spells still have alignments, if you want to keep using them.

this is exactly right. it makes sense that you would focus endlessly on discourse when you don’t actually *know* anything about the world.

i think it's a strange attractor for people who don't actually know anything. like the theme running through all this is not having to know anything of substance about the subject--not having to take and defend a position about what's actually true--and instead it's all just meta-discourse critique

Computers were a skill. They were taught in classrooms as a skill. Skills give you power over your tools because you work them as an expert and that is leverage to multiply externally.

And then computers became an A/B tested telemetry-based advertising conduit to brains for SaaS recurring revenue.

My phone has full optical character recognition of 47,000 photos. I can search individual words.

I cannot search three words in quotes.

Computers used to be powerful. That power meant something. It was power for making your life better in sovereignty to your own interests.

And now we have this.

Remember, this is a company that literally started as an AI company and whose original URL was kagi.ai . Their site is *infested* with LLM shit and they're true believers even if now they're trying to pretend otherwise. Be wary.
