Going to be working tonight at Childrens. They have been scheduling extra staff for increased workload. That means that the hospital is very full of very sick kids right now. Seeing lots of influenza and more measles than I should ever have to see locally. Please vaccinate your kids.

Canada and Mexico, alone, could have done a better job with this draw. This is why the world can’t trust the USA with anything to do with the World Cup

FFS Trump getting the Peace Prize at World Cup draw is an absolute travesty of truth and integrity.
FIFA should be utterly ashamed of its sucking up to Trump the Venezuelan murderer.

Turns out the “draw” in “World Cup draw” was short for “draw this sh** out as long as possible”

FIFA awarding Donald Trump a "peace prize" is an insult to every supporter/player/coach of the beautiful game who actually believes in justice and humanity.

This shouldn’t be the story of Valour FC.

But Wade Miller and WFC didn’t care, they let the club spiral without giving even half a look.

Valour’s sad demise should be attributed to nobody but Miller and Co.

There are more soccer fans in Canada than people in Portugal.

I’m just leaving this here to remind myself that we are a soccer nation. Rising from the ashes of what the Nick Bontis and Wade Miller’s of this country have tried to destroy.

The downfall of #CanPL club Valour FC leaves Manitoba without a top flight professional soccer club to call its own.

Here's what players and staff past and present had to say about the club folding:

If this is true, Miller should be fired from his position with WFC. This is negligence. If Valour was such a financial burden for WFC (which was entirely self-inflicted, yet VFC was a factor in forgiven stadium loans?), then a failure to secure this sale should be seen as a dereliction of duty
A summary of rumours from multiple sources RE: #ValourFC

- Wade Miller (Winnipeg Football Club) was approached by a buyer, and a deal was drafted.
- WFC demanded stipulations about using the stadium and cuts of concession income
- Buyer balks and walks after additional stips added by WFC

I've been vocal about the poor ownership, the passionate supporters, the awkward relationship between the club and the supporters..

I've had seasons, bought merch.. It's been a special place for me, friends and family, a place to share our passion.

I hope #ValourFC isn't done.

In total, Triple B and WFC had $201M of loans taken on and essentially put on the taxpayer, and Valour FC was then treated as an unwanted sore by the WFC ownership from 2021 until now.

No interest in investment, community building, relationship mending. They pushed out sponsors.

Here's why:

#ValourFC was founded months before the MB government took over loans from the owners of the stadium (Triple B) and the Winnipeg Football Club. They used the incoming CanPL team to back their commitment to the stadium being a community resource. WFC had $82M in loans forgiven.

This is what I've been saying, and sadly, this hasn't been picked up in the news, the stories or coverage. They got the club to get their loans taken by the province, and then didn't care and ran the club into the ground with bare minimum investment and marketing.

82M. Thats what Valour saved WFC.

I don’t think people outside of Winnipeg understand just how poorly Valour was marketed & supported by the Bombers ownership.
I had countless conversations w/ people who had no idea we even HAD a team.
How can a club grow if its fanbase if the fans have to do ALL the legwork for the growth?
