Given news that CBP shot two people in Portland, re-upping this thread
As with Minnesota, as with many other DHS shootings, DHS spokesperson Tricia McLaughlin is already out saying the people who were shot were using their car as a weapon. Barely needs to change the press release at this point.

If Dems talked like this regularly, we wouldn't have to focus on "how to win close elections in difficult environments." We would have a lot fewer close elections, and a lot fewer difficult environments.

Not only that, but Trump, who is notorious for not listening to briefings, is definitely just making it up as he goes while he answers questions.

So I strongly disagree with the notion floating around here that Democrats retaking Congress (or even just the House) would have little effect on the war that Trump just started unlawfully. That is pretty much the only meaningful move on the table and war opponents should pursue it relentlessly.
