University leaders have not been especially vocal about the new administration *because* they were so worried about Trump just gutting the research infrastructure. And now they have done so anyway.

Between the earthquake/tsuanmi scare, the UnitedHealthcare shooting and the South Korea martial law stuff this week, it feels like Bluesky is getting more and more critical mass around breaking events that made Twitter so sticky and useful.

Major addition since then: Custom feeds which are a great alternative to the default “What’s Hot” trending.
