I keep seeing this narrative. They know 𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙡𝙮 how it works. This is just straight up 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖!! They want you to think they're stupid. They want the stupid people to think it's true. They're playing at being stupid people for the stupid people. This may be an unpopular opinion but,
Yes they do. They understand perfectly. They just want people to believe their lies so they can carry on polluting and killing our planet and therefore us. Big money has their oil and gas infrastructure already and it's their money making machine.

Still excited and surprised to see that we pulled off monthly data. Perhaps overselling us, Bloomberg called Climate TRACE "The Bloomberg Terminal for the Earth's Health."

Dads are spending 3-4x as much time with their kids as their dads did with them.

When father figures are engaged, kids show better cognitive development, boys have fewer behavioral problems, and girls have fewer emotional problems.

Every child deserves strong parental bonds.

This was shared in the comments a little while back — tried to find the comment and r/t it but my search skills failed me.

Anyhow, been sitting with it for a bit alongside using some of the tooling that's dropped in the last couple months and I agree with this take.

In case anyone you know is the right-shaped policy/data/consultant multitool, we're hiring: watttime.org/about-us/car...

This person will help us convince more institutions to take specific (often easier than you think) actions that will dramatically reduce emissions across the globe.

How to focus what little time we have on removing the most carbon from global electricity grids.

The boosters of AI safety bills like SB1047 claim that open models will enable the production of biological weapons.

These claims are delusional. As a synthetic biologist and LLM engineer, I felt compelled to write why for anyone who might care:

The backers of California’s SB1047 routinely cite AI-enabled bioweapons as a threat justifying the radical regulatory regime that places a locus of liability on general computational models, rather than on particular dangerous applications or criminal acts.
