Using a captive alternative media system, they ran the most successful disinformation campaign in history, convincing low information, low propensity voters that the least popular presidency since polling began had actually been a huge success.

Will Trump’s idiotic economic mismanagement finally disabuse voters of the fallacy that the GOP is better for the economy? Bush: crash; Obama cleans up mess; Trump I crash: Biden cleans up mess; Trump II crash…rinse and repeat.

I look at close to 100 stories a week and even more outside of work. I’ve done this ten years.

This is among the most horrific things I’ve ever read — testimony from dying children whose access to medicine has been cut off by the Trump administration.

This crisis is like the COVID pandemic except it's caused by a guy who ran for president on a platform of "I have engineered a virus that will shut down the global economy, and if you elect me, I will release it"

In fact, it is offensively ridiculous to think that any but a handful of people disappeared by ICE will be able to file habeas corpus, because it relies on them having informed families with connections to available knowledgeable lawyers with time and resources to act instantly.

The Donald J. Trump Stock Market Crash™
It appears this is the fourth worst back to back day for the DJIA in American history with a two day combined -8.65% loss, only trailing the 1929 crash, 1987 Black Monday, and the 2008 crisis.

Proud that the firm I chair, Berger Montague, signed this important brief along with hundreds of others in defense of the rule of law.
NEWS: More than 500 law firms sign on to an amicus brief in support of Perkins Coie amid the firm’s legal battle against Trump’s executive order targeting its business.

Read the list of firms that signed the brief authored by former SG Don Verrilli:

It is impossible to capture how catastrophic Trump’s recent moves and statements are for US defense contractors—this will have a huge trickle-down industrial effect given supply chains and subcontractors.
I mean... holy shit.

The people in charge have no idea what made this country so successful and wealthy. None.
good to watch. but there's one part in here that most will probably overlook. stability, the constitution and the rule of law are magnets for capital. an elemental observation that's at the root of basically every study of economics and capitalism.

The whole thing is important, but listen until the end: the US depends a lot on the flow of capital into the country because it is perceived as the safest port in a storm. Once that is no longer true, a lot of things Americans take for granted go away.
