8 years ago yesterday i didn’t get a job i interviewed for and it changed the course of my life. i applied to four grad schools later that fall, quit my job the following spring, and moved away from the valley for the very first time.

It’s interesting to see how as the GOP realized that outright war is no longer popular, they pivoted their focus to expelling or punishing immigrants. This feels like a new phase of nativism and I’m not sure what happens when industries and birth rates collapse
