It’s so nice to see that our “COVID EMA Dream Team” continues to publish great results long after the two lockdowns we went through. I miss those times a bit :P
New paper on fatigue, hair cortisol and stress during COVID-19 lockdowns. 💡📜

We found signs of hypocortisolism during the COVID-19 lockdowns in the general population.

Risk factors for fatigue were young age, chronic stress, low income, and loneliness.

The package formerly known as papercheck has changed its name to metacheck! We're checking more than just papers, with functions to assess OSF projects, github repos, and AsPredicted pre-registrations, with more being developed all the time.

How can we start to get closer to true generalizability in the human sciences?

A talk I gave at the wonderful BTSCon suggests the first steps!

Excited to start this journey with the @psysciacc.bsky.social

arXiv will no longer accept review articles and position papers unless they have been accepted at a journal or a conference and complete successful peer review.

This is due to being overwhelmed by a hundreds of AI generated papers a month.

Yet another open submission process killed by LLMs.

If you see a small hedgehog in autumn (like the one in my hands), please take it to a rescue center. Our autumns are too warm, & hedgehog moms now have a 2nd litter. These tiny babies can’t survive winter! This one weighs only 130g (needs 500g). Please keep an eye out! #hedgehog #wildlife

Nice to see the Uni thriving. Yet many of the scientists who contributed to this success will have to leave in a few years. For those who don’t know — many researchers are on temporary contracts & can stay at one U. for a max. of 8y. After that, it’s either a permanent position (lol) or goodbye.
University of Vienna is among the Top 100 in the World University Ranking by @timeshighered.bsky.social for the first time, at rank 95! 🥳 This strengthens visibility & international connections for outstanding researchers and students worldwide. #univie #THERanking 👉 www.univie.ac.at/en/news/deta...
