One thing that creative people often avoid doing because they think it makes them seem conceited or will annoy others is to say when they’re really proud of their work but I love when people tell you how much something means to them or how much effort it took, art involves the context of the artist

Art should be funded like science. To properly fund art, you fund failure. Funding failure will give you occasional excellence. Creating any art with the aim of it being popular enough to make money, will give you consistent mediocrity. Arists need funding to play and fail because that's the process

Realizing my original idea won’t work, so I’ll need to invest in a drawing pad to be compatible with the PC. Leaning towards Huion or XPen, but need to do more research.

Genuinely think anyone can “git gud” at any creative craft they are interested in. If we wanted to actually “democratize” art we would invest in housing, healthcare, food and education as human rights. All GenAI does is make people even more financially precarious and less able to pursue a passion
I think a bit of the "AI is democratizing art" argument is trying to avoid the ugly truth that to get good at anything you have to do a lot of it. I grew up "knowing" I was a good writer, but I really wasn't until about 700k words, and it took reading hours of scripts to really have a voice
