Everyone cross every finger and toe you have for me please.
Down to me and two other candidates for an internship at an (undisclosed) rocket launch facility. So cool. Not just because I'd legitimately be able to claim I'm a rocket scientist... but mainly

Any lawyers out there keen to test the QLD govt liability protections? In light of their reversal of renewable targets, shouldn't be too hard to argue that they've been reckless in disregard which will cause foreseeable harm.

Great work by Trump today in further alienating America from its allies.

Quick reminder, his justification for tariffs is countries the IS has a trade deficit with are ripping the US off- they have a surplus against Australia but fuck Australia for being an ally, here's a 100% tariff

Spending my holidays productively:
1) Making a metrology grade instrumentation amp/servo loop with smarts so I can lazily measure opamps amd resistors.

2) Making brisket.

Both very productive and delicious 😋

So yeah... first president to ever fire a member of the FED... of course she was black and female
Trump fires Fed governor Lisa Cook after allegation of mortgage fraud
Departure of Cook, first Black woman to sit on central bank’s board, will allow US president to tap replacement

My son definitely won't be getting any awards for cinematography but at least captures a bit of the scale of the free Palestine march in Brisbane today.

Not a bad turnout in Brisbane

So good to be done with Uni for the semester, phew. Hard one (comparatively, they're all hard)

Just watching some Trump/Epstein coverage.

Why aren't reporters prefacing their questions in Trump speak with:

"Mr President, we followed your campaign and the promises you made MAGA but I also want to discuss something that happened under your prior presidency ..."

Yep, you're officially the bad guys now America.

For clarity, Israel started a war based on their typically robust claims that "Iran is weeks away from a nuclear weapon"- Claims they've made since 2008.

You've now involved yourself in aggression against a country that didn't start the fight.
Trump announces on social media that the US has bombed Iran

This is sensible policy. I know the LNP were aghast at the unrealised gains proposal but it makes sense as SMSF's aren't just an individual's.

Transferring business real property into an SMSF allows generational tax avoidance. This closes that inequity between master trusts, industry and SMSFs

Allow me to address the elephant in the room: The decades-long outsourcing of domestic manufacturing to China was not an insidious Chinese conspiracy for dominance but the greedy strategy of the American ruling class to explode its profit margins by exploiting global inequality.

As an aside to Trump's vapid patriotism...
Military strength? Bravery?
WW1 started on 28 July 1914.
The US "Bravely" joined the war on April 6 1917. Obviously, they had had fewer casualties and so, a large force...
WW2 started Sept 1 1939.
The US joined the war on Dec 8 1941.
So brave...
We hadn’t won World War II by May 8th. I know because my family and I were still in an internment camp in Tule Lake, California.

Interesting morning in Australia. LNP leader Peter Voldemort Dutton has lost the election and his seat.
The new leader of the opposition, David Littleproud says Voldemort's loss was a tragic affair and that his campaign against mudbloods and muggles really had nothing to do with his ouster.

This highlights why presidents don't have tariff powers unless there's an emergency (which there's not).

Trump came perilously close to tanking the bond market.

While the GOP allows him to exceed his authority, it's ludicrous for credit agencies not to downgrade the US and it's 36T debt.
The most corrupt administration in American history wants you to look the other way from this.

We can't. We need answers.

How did I miss Canada cutting all ties with USA?
Would love to see the rest of the world grow a spine and do likewise.

Is Hegseth referring to himself here?
No wonder he drinks
Reporter: Can you share how your information about war plans was shared with a journalist?

Hegseth: So you are talking about a deceitful and highly discredited so-called journalist who has made a profession of peddling hoaxes

What's scary is how fast we're all becoming numb to the dumb fuckery in the whitehouse.

Dems waiting for the GOP to hang themselves or, to impeach or, whatever other sane action they could take is akin to a surgeon waiting for the anaesthetic to kick in.

Wouldn't take this at face value. My guess is this is a "look over here, shiny!!" kind of distraction to get the media frenzied while he sneaks through some other heinous shit
