Pretty sad time we live in when the first thought I had here was- Trump probably had his name selected for being fired in any case -due to being imminently qualified but the wrong skin colour for the racist in chief.

Reckon it'd be less good for business if ESG investors and most of the world said "Fuck you" and found alternative trade partners.

The problem with this one is - THIS time is that in a month when the GOP doesn't hold a vote on it (which they won't) the only card the Dems will hold is the threat of another shutdown in January - THAT time, they'll own it 100%. So fucking weak.

You said I made an "outright wrong statement". I showed that to be BS. Suffice it to say green steel is currently producing a more environmentally sound solution ergo, why do we need to compromise and continue to back fossil fuels?
November 7, 2025 at 9:51 AM
why make shit up that can easily be disproven? Of the new mines, only Meadowbrook is coking. In extensions, Caval ridge and Bogabri include coking (not solely coking). The rest are all thermal.
Green steel is also currently around 90% less emissive
November 7, 2025 at 3:25 AM
Not a bot and also, what records? lol. Approving 9 coal mines and 21 extensions to Dec last year isn't compromise- it's an acceleration of climate destruction.
Worse, the annual science reports keep getting worse as we "compromise".
October 27, 2025 at 11:18 AM
Better than nothing isn't a great standard to aim for. Akin to the ICAC- with just the right compromises you end up with a symbolic bit of gold painted turd

How about no? Fucking ALP are demonstrating, again, that they're basically LNP mid strength.

Sounds suspiciously like it causes 5g or Autism

Yes 2 million depend on snap. How many depend on all the other issues republicans are destroying? Caving when even some Republicans have enough spine to hold out isn't a good look.
You're not courageous. You're complicit in the corruption.
October 23, 2025 at 3:06 PM
Actually a rock solid idea. If they want to counter it and protest the illegality of doing so they'll have to swear her in
October 22, 2025 at 10:16 AM
So fucked. You had an iconic symmetrical building and then one fuckhead decides to illegally appropriate funds to build a fucking ball room (screams geriatric vibes) and the corrupt GOP shrug it off because of course they're all in the Epstein files too...
October 22, 2025 at 10:11 AM
From outside the US looking in, you guys have some serious liability for atrocities. Well and truly the top global terrorist organisation at this point- maybe worth looking to some less peaceful protests next time
October 20, 2025 at 9:22 PM
Two words- technical indicators.
It's not a good thing, but people and algos are stupid and place a lot of truck in momentum. Boards get options in their pay package so when shit goes south they do stock buy backs to drive momentum
October 20, 2025 at 11:37 AM
I'd counter that sentiment with- this is what a lack of democracy looks like.
No one had to protest for survival under Biden or Obama, this is unfortunately the result of idiots voting for corruption and a loss of democracy.

except they're used to sense for rotations in town water supplies

Almost like the capitalist conditions that have forced families to have dual incomes, and a lack of affordable medical care are conducive to fewer planned pregnancies
October 16, 2025 at 8:30 PM
Maybe pass some legislation to move the Whitehouse outside of executive control and protect the buildings so tasteless clowns can't turn it into a gaudy shithole ever again
