There can be no clearer sign of no confidence, no confidence at all by university members towards their leadership. Anyone uni administrator involved in this deal should resign.

Useful Thread. I find the same thing in my classes, esp. in the first year.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

This is the first Thanksgiving for Sophie & Colin Hortman without their parents, Minnesota state Rep. Melissa Hortman and Mark Hortman who were assassinated along with the family dog in an act of political murder. National guards troops were not deployed to the state in response.

In Question Period Pierre Poilievre's Conservatives are enviously attacking the private sector success of PM Mark Carney, likely because their leader has never even had a job in the private sector, let alone any successful one. The real and only scandal here is PP's lack of security clearance.

pickup trucks for the average person should not have been allowed to advance past this. if you need anything bigger, you should have to provide some kind of documentation showing you have the license and need for special heavy machinery, otherwise you get the 1990 toyota hilux

Never forget, car dependency is the opposite of freedom.

What’s more “free” than cars, you ask?

Choices.

what I love is when they sign these emails with their first names. Believe me, bud, if we were on a first name basis I'd have something to say.
So great to see my uni's president has recovered enough from the lockout to send an email about how much she supports PhD programs, especially while the graduate programs in my faculty are being rapidly defunded, effectively ending all but self-funded or otherwise externally funded graduate work.
