Political and economic systems collapse. It's inevitable. It may be imminent. We can deny it, resist it, or embrace it. To make the best of it, we need to start adapting now.

Our political and economic institutions are collapsing.

It does not need to be a disaster.

I'm here to gather and share ideas on how to navigate this change.
My hot take: It's okay to steal from slavers.

The idea that I started covering Nick early on because he was critical of Israel (that’s one way to put it) and not because he was a white nationalist with clear aspirations of influence and power is so stupid and dishonest it’s not even laughable.
Nick Fuentes says that a Right Wing Watch "smear campaign" is to blame for giving people the impression that he is a racist, antisemitic, Christian nationalist extremist nut job. We'd argue that it's his own words that are giving people that impression. www.peoplefor.org/rightwingwat...

The whiny brats running the USA will deny the existence of a pandemic if the alternative is to give any credit to their perceived nemesis.
hey i'm probably going to be more annoying around world AIDS day today this year with it being the first time in 37 years the u.s. government is willfully ignoring it & forbidding any funds from discussing it -- especially as since around 2019, there's been outbreaks around the country

It is a national priority problem. Higher education (or any education) is definitely not a US priority for decades. That’s why funding is continuously removed to starve it, forcing colleges to move their focus from education to funding.

Is this a plan or just accident?

I recently retired from my university fairly recently. I began as a student starting in 1980. I saw the difference in real time. Universities now pander to anyone who will give them money no matter who it came from. Students are no longer encouraged to challenge mainstream, conventional thought.

We are living at a time when university leadership amplifies anti-intellectual tropes and technologies

These are very troubling times

In every powerful person, I see a thousand tragedies. Starting with the many that they trampled in their grasping, to the family they neglected and abused, and finally their own pointless struggles.

Today's enlightenment: Saint Constantine (the Great) was an absolute failure as a person. Not only was he a warmonger and theocratic tyrant, but he couldn't even establish peace in his own Christian family. As soon as he died, his sons started slaughtering their extended family and each other.

You're a real Yankee, Charlie Brown.

Just call us Yankees. Please.
Actually, it’s unforgivable in a certain continental European country for a citizen of the United States to refer to him-/herself as an American.

Are we not even making our own disinformation? What happened to American manufacturing?
Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

They won't let us call a spade a spade. This is a pretty obvious statement: “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” You have to bend yourself in knots to deny it... maybe relying on the changing criteria for 'corruption' over the years.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Can we get a list of polygamists among the elite? I'm mainly thinking of the American elite, especially the right-wing elite. Broadly, I'm thinking of men who make a non-reciprocal claim on the sexuality of multiple women. So I'd include men who divorce and remarry younger wives, and Johns.

Don't let tech-billionaire fascist polygamists call you a loser Charlie Brown.

Have any alt-right incels connected their difficulties finding women to the polygamy of the the right-wing billionaire elite?

So basically, all the competent DOJ lawyers were either driven away because they had ethics, or fired for being "woke," so that only political hacks and Lionel Hutz, Mall Lawyer types are left. And Bondi and Blanche want to blame the resulting gross incompetence on someone else.

Much more representative, IMO. Of course, I say that of everyone billionaire and up. I would be thrilled with a million, but for them? Not even multi billions is enough.

The problem with the idea of a “technological singularity”, a future time at which the rate of technological progress will outpace human comprehension, is that it presumes that humans are currently capable of comprehending the rate of technological progress.
