Please remember that President Carter appointed more minorities and women to the bench than all previous presidents combined. He was the first President to embrace the concept of bringing racial diversity to the federal bench. A key aspect of his legacy.

A lot of people know Guinea worm is close to eradication, thanks to the work of President Carter and the Carter Center, but I bet you've never seen a map of its original global distribution. It's pretty staggering to think about. Here's a couple maps from 1951 (left) and 1999 (right):
