It’s a long “memorandum,” but it’s essentially telling Pam Bondi and Kristi Noem to go after lawyers who challenge the federal government — which is many lawyer’s jobs.

It’s basically a catch-all “let’s Paul Weiss whoever pisses us off” memo.

Yes this is how I feel everyday since January 20th. It’s getting scary and also trying to continue seeking moments of joy as I can, especially as a trans man just out here existing.
What the actual fuck?! America, something must be done!

Musk’s status as a “special government employee” limits him to 130 days in the executive branch. However, despite working daily—documented by his own X posts—they claim he only works one day a week, effectively stretching his limit to 130 weeks. This needs to be brought to Congress—please share.

Cheers for Washington Post columnist extraordinaire @danamilbank.bsky.social, who writes today that "the single greatest threat to 'personal liberties and free markets' in the United States today" is "President Donald Trump." wapo.st/3DaSKxX (gift link)
Opinion | Here’s the real threat to ‘personal liberties and free markets’
The rapidly spreading authoritarianism coming from this administration threatens all of our freedoms.

It’s freaking hard for trans people right now. Being vulnerable is scary but I’ve got a medically necessary surgery in less than one month. gofund.me/69436ff8

Yes it violates it! 💯
A federal judge in Washington said that the way the Trump administration set up and has been running Elon Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency could violate the Constitution.

I don’t feel like people in Portland, Oregon are as concerned as the rest of the country with what’s happening! Truly feel scared about it and also not sure what to do!

A top Social Security Administration official resigned after clashing with Musk staffers over access to sensitive personal records. They sought entry into an internal system containing Americans’ private data.

Thank you, Michelle, for resisting—and for your 30 years of service.

HEARING: Today is the preliminary injunction hearing in Talbott v. Trump, the case challenging Trump's anti-transgender military executive order.

Judge Reyes began by trying to go through the points on which everyone agrees. DOJ will not agree the EO is to ban all trans people from the military.

Encyclopædia Britannica will continue to use ‘Gulf of Mexico’ for a few reasons:

-We serve an international audience, a majority of which is outside the U.S.

-The Gulf of Mexico is an international body of water, and the U.S.’s authority to rename it is ambiguous.

This is what I’ve been saying!! These court orders aren’t doing us ANY good if no one is enforcing them or even attempting to….
I've been waiting for someone to make this point as clearly as @pbump.com did last week:

The entire Federal law enforcement apparatus is a part of the Executive Branch. All of it. So if they don't want to enforce a judge's rulings, or, for that matter, the law... then who?

Opinion | Who can police a president unwilling to abide by the law?
A president who wants to brazenly challenge both Congress and the courts will be hard to constrain.

Thanks Judge Bates! But sadly, they won’t be able to do it because I’m sure Musty has revoked any access to revert these changes. An active coup is happening & we are just watching it unfold…. 🫠🫠🫠

The US DOT says it's planning to prioritize areas with high marriage & high birth rates for funding.

Our new analysis @urbaninstitute.bsky.social shows this would disproportionately fund:
—Communities with a higher white resident share
—Low-density areas
—High-income areas
—Car-dependent areas
DOT’s Plan to Distribute Funding by Birth and Marriage Rates Would Leave Communities Most In Need Behind
If enacted, the new US Department of Transportation memo would prioritize funding to whiter, higher-income, more car-dependent areas over communities of color and people who walk, bike, or take public...

What the actual *?! The White House has designated Mr. Musk’s office, the United States DOGE Service, as an entity protected from public records requests and most judicial intervention until at least 2034, by classifying its documents as presidential records.

As expected, these court orders aren’t being enforced. None of the offenders actually give a damn. It’s great federal judges are putting these temporary orders to block certain actions; however we need a department that’s enforcing them. Because without that, we’re screwed.

Among other reasons, censorship is bad because a lot of these terms are used multiple ways. “Confirmation bias” is the most common logical fallacy, for example - I’d like the folks at NSA to be particularly attuned to it.
2. A memo distributed by NSA leadership to its staff says that on February 10, all NSA websites and internal network pages that contain banned words will be deleted.

This is the list of 27 banned words distributed to NSA staff:

The CFPB has:

-Returned $20B to victims of financial fraud
-Cracked down on junk fees
-Fought against politically-motivated debanking
-Protected veterans from predatory lenders
-Protected consumers' data from corporate abuse

Oligarchs want to reverse all of this.
Laws Are Not Suggestions: How the CFPB Is Delivering for the American People - American Economic Liberties Project
Under Director Rohit Chopra, the CFPB has held scammers like Wells Fargo accountable, returning billions of dollars of Americans’ hard-earned money to their bank accounts; fought back against Wall Street and Big Tech’s discriminatory and anti-competitive behavior; ensured violating the law can no longer be written off as just a “cost of doing business;” and restored financial freedom to millions of Americans held hostage by the credit reporting cartel.

Yes I know I have power. It’s just incredibly hard for the trans community & immigrants because certain actions ARE harming us RIGHT NOW despite the battle in the courts putting a temporary stop at times. We need more voices speaking out for our support too!
