The feeling of “Disney, WB, and Paramount all own too much of our media landscape” can coexist with “I am vibing to Mando soundtrack mashups and it is greatly helping my mood and efficacy right now”
There is a reason my brain has been vibing Star Wars this week. Sucks that Disney owns it, but damn if it doesn’t have some bangers about fighting fascists.

A lot of the supposed “tells” in here are mostly called out for not being neutral enough for Wikipedia standards — which definitely shouldn’t be counted against pieces in other places. Like, say, your newsletter, or a books column.

this is a really nefarious advice article from wikipedia, they memorialize some really basic formatting that we are taught to apply in editing school (e.g. replace all staight quotes with curly quotes) as signs of ai-generated writing.
Wikipedia editors trying to fend off the onslaught of AI crap have crowdsourced some telltale signs of LLM-generated writing; it might be handy for editors and proofreaders generally. Thanks to @ellenrykers.com for pointing me to it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikiped...

I know people like to joke that woke or DEI was the only thing keeping the planes from falling out of the sky, but the US is really about to throw away an incalculable amount of experience for the sake of bigotry.
