It took 50 days and a whole lot of nonsense, but Congresswoman Adelita Grijalva is finally in her seat.

Mike Johnson didn’t stall her swearing-in by accident—he did it on purpose.

Because protecting predators was apparently more urgent than serving the people.

Please, my brothers, undo the wreckage capitalism has made of your brains. Rebuild on its ashes the notion that everyone deserves food, water, shelter, education, safety. I believe in you. You can do it.

The most dangerous form of government is theocracy.

Because the only thing worse than a tyrant is a tyrant who thinks they're on a mission from God.

This scene is such a modern metaphor because we’re all Dorothy just clutching our pets as hard as we can and talking to our two remaining weirdo friends while the world rains asbestos snow on all of us 24/7

Thou shalt not complain about crime in D.C. when you’re a convicted felon who incited a violent mob to attack Congress with the goal of hanging your own vice-president.

Oh also, thou shalt not complain about crime when you just transferred a convicted pedophile to a luxury resort prison.

The repeated line “do you hear me” nearly took me out…excuse me while I go cry and very clumsily attempt to do brave-ish things.✌️😮‍💨

Trump: It looks like it’s about $3.1 billion

Powell: I’m not aware of that.

Trump: It just came out

Powell: You just added in a third building

Trump: It’s a building that’s being built

Powell: It was built five years ago.

Intense guilt used to accompany the days I would feel like this. Being neurodivergent in a society that heavily rewards productivity can wreak havoc on my nervous system. Now that I better understand my brain, I am annoyingly unapologetic about my rest and need to nurture my day-to-day peace. ✌️
You can be exhausted without having “done” anything.

Your brain, your heart, your nervous system might’ve run an invisible marathon today.

You’re allowed to rest, no proof required. <3
