Whew! This needs more amplification and a deep dive.

Hey Jim- You were the best that @cnn.com had to offer & will be deeply missed! I look forward to the next chapter in your career & I'm not just saying that because of the killer Yoda impression you did when I was on your show.
Really love this cartoon from the great Michael De Adder. The outpouring of support coming in has been truly amazing! Thanks everybody!

some gems:

give lengthy and incomprehensible explanations when questioned

report imaginary spies or danger to the gestapo or police

act stupid

be as irritable and quarrelsome as possible without getting yourself into trouble
Suddenly, out of nowhere, a declassified World War II-era CIA guide to sabotaging fascism in the workplace has become one of the most popular free ebooks on the internet:

Plan for today - Eating an edible, cleaning my place, taking care of myself, and creating my anti-gaslight cache.

Plan for tomorrow - Attempt to get more involved with local community. My autism makes it hard for me to leave my house but I know we are stronger in numbers.

to recap:
— Trump was *for* the TikTok ban
— which the GOP Congress passed
— and the GOP Supreme Court upheld
— and even though Biden said he wouldn't enforce the ban, TikTok shut down anyway
— so that Trump could "save" it
— and the media fell for it
we really do live in the dumbest fucking country

I warned about this earlier! Trump's move to save TikTok isn’t about protecting Americans from foreign surveillance or safeguarding their data. This is about weaponizing yet another platform to control the information space
Trump, TikTok, and Control of the Information Space
Last night, TikTok abruptly stopped working for its 170 million American users, just hours before a law shutting it down on national security grounds was set to take effect.

UPDATE:

No other allied country has banned Tiktok. All your favorite content creator's videos are still there and they are still getting views from other countries, just not America.

This is totally a stunt to make Donald Trump look amazing. Welcome to fascism. Create a fake problem & solve it.

Trump gets in bed with the Chinese owners, and suddenly Tik Tok isn’t “evil CCP compromised” anymore. These people believe in nothing. What Trump decides today is what they believe in today. Which changes tomorrow if Trump makes a deal with someone else to enrich himself.

Fact: according to federal law, as a convicted felon Donald Trump is barred from owning a firearm or ammunition, but is permitted to serve as Commander in Chief of the world’s largest military and retain exclusive control over their arsenal of nuclear weapons.

Make him ride a bike just once. All I ask. I want to see this man ride a bicycle.
There are numerous stupid reasons why long before the assassination attempt his followers truly believed to their core that Trump is “tough” but it just occurred to me nobody has the power to force him to demonstrate doing a single pushup.

If only we could erase the disgrace of Trump as easily as this brilliant photographer did!
History will render a very harsh judgment on him, the GOP, MAGAts & Corporate Media who all supplicated themselves at his feet & kissed his ass for power & profit
Patriotic Americans will never obey
