a little late and a little little, here's a quick review of BUGONIA

BUGONIA is nothing sweet
The British food company Lyle’s – makers of baking pantry staples like golden syrup and black treacle – has a very old, very cool illustration on its labels. It’s a decomposing lion in which bees have...

i hate that AI has now caused me to question the authenticity of cute animal videos online, which is my primary use of social media. i don't even know if this baby penguin actually wore a beret to go buy a tiny baguette in paris

At this point I think it's time to admit any celeb signing on for Potter work either doesn't give a shit about human rights or actively agrees with JK Rowling bc there is no way you can claim ignorance as an excuse

LFF allowing laptops and phones for note taking in the press screenings is end of the world stuff. What happened to pen and paper, or just watching it and concentrating?

I genuinely don't think I can deal with Universal Credit any longer. The toll this Dickensian system has on my mental health is not worth it.

The LFF schedule is out! My list is already too long to be feasible but let's see when the press schedule comes out. Looking to beat the 42 titles I watched last year so don't look for me in October.

I went to the kitchen to get a glass so I can have some iced tea and sit down and relax. Next thing I know I'm scrubbing all of the kitchen cabinets. Does that happen to anyone else?

Have you ever noticed that people dressed better in the past? Even in the summer, when it was scorching hot?

Why is this? 🧵

This is the sweetest most heartwarming little film. Can't see how it won't end up in my end-of-year list. Go watch it if it's playing in a cinema near you.
In today's brutal cinema landscape independent films can't stay up for long and for these cinemas YOUNG HEARTS ends its run on Thursday 14th August. So if your local cinema is included, go catch the film while you still can.

A tubby corgi has decided that while his human is keen to go for a walk, he's having none of it. Steadfastly refusing to move off of the porch, his bottom is firmly planted.
His laughing human tugging his leash, calling him a stubborn sausage. (1)

Can we stop with the "movies were better in the past" nonsense? If you think this, you're simply not watching enough films. Also, some things were great cause you were eight.

Same goes for Athens.
Heartbreaking to see how much of Lisbon has been bought out, gentrified, taken over by hotels, airbnbs, franchises and chains. They have packaged our culture and sold it to the highest bidder, forcing the locals out. It’s London and Barcelona all over again. Culture dies under liberal capitalism.
