Currently bingeing #ToxicTown on Netflix and it’s VERY good, but I’m having a small mental crisis over the fact that it’s forcing me to root for Rumplestiltskin over Mr. Bates.
I keep getting ads for apps that are basically softcore 🌽 in various forms (fic, audio, video). It’s like the algorithm knows I’m a frequent flyer on AO3 but has like zero data on the tags I read, because it keeps feeding me werewolves and Uruk-hai and other stuff that does not match my freak.

I think it comes from a genuinely well-intentioned place of “imagine all these devs we love breaking free of corporate shackles and creating the game we all want and then getting all the profit when we snatch it up.” That’s the dream, right? But it’s much easier said than done.
I think anyone who's like "if you're laid off from a gamedev job just start your own studio" or "find your giant game through kickstarter" or anything like that simply know nothing and can be ignored
