What freaks me out is that they're doing shit they KNOW will get them hammered in the midterms which makes it pretty clear they fully intend to rig them or just straight up not have them. America, we need an emergency toolkit and we need to place it by the front door right now.

The USDA sent an email to grocery stores telling them they are prohibited from offering special discounts to customers affected by the SNAP funding lapse.
I'm aware of at least 2 stores that had offered struggling customers a discount, then withdrew it after receiving this email

Not nearly enough people are talking about this, even in the climate space.
Biofuels are a bad climate solution and a huge waste of land, food and millions in subsidies. Burning crops for fuel only pushes us further away from our climate goals.

Kinda convinced nothing will change unless we put caps on income. Like after a certain amount you're taxed at a 100% rate. We gotta stop the rat race, it's literally killing us.
