More or less, yeah.
If I’m understanding this correctly, X is owned by a white nationalist who pays poor people of color in developing countries to pretend to be working class white Americans to scare other white Americans into being afraid poor people of color from developing countries are going to ruin America?

I hope you're not getting your coffee etc. from Starbucks right now. If you are, this is the reason supplies are running out.

I hope you will take your business someplace else...not because of the strike, but because of its goals.
Hundreds of Starbucks baristas and labor organizers blockaded Starbucks' largest distribution center in York, Pennsylvania, halting distribution of syrups, coffee beans, and other supplies to the entire northeast.

This escalation is part of @sbworkersunited.org's ongoing strike.

I haven't given a rat's tuchis for sportsball in decades. This might change my mind.
Tonight there is a draft for a women’s pro baseball league and on Saturday I will watch the women’s soccer team I support play for a championship after their most successful season yet, surrounded by other diehard fans at a bar. I am living in a world 8-year-old me could have never imagined.

The Texas Observer has Them Damned Pictures, too. Lovely work, Ben -- give 'em hell.

This may be why they're so adamant against regulating crypto.
Just as a matter of interest, allowing political parties to receive donations in crypto is one way for Russian and pro-Russian donations to be disguised.

I got a mere taste of this when I got my cancer diagnosis and waited for other tests to come in to see how bad things were. These folks live like that every week of every month of every year.

Cloudflare and Amazon's server networks are puvlic utilities, and should be regulated as such.
The latest Cloudflare and Amazon outages have got me thinking about utilities. We can't build modern software without dependencies. The days of running entirely on the client are over, which I see as a good thing. The cost is that we rely on infrastructure.

You'd think that as they're WHITE refugees, the Current Régime would treat them with kid gloves. But no, they're fleeing Putin's imperial aggression, so all bets are off.
The government of the USA will let nothing come between them and their goals. Removing all refugees, immigrants, legal residents and naturalized citizens. And, if you’re brown, their goal is to get you, too.

I’m apologize to these refugees on behalf of our country, because the felon’s regime won’t
🧊✈️ BACK TO THE WAR ZONE ⛓️😲

⚠️ The U.S. government is removing 80 or so Ukrainian refugees back to their war-ravaged country tonight.

We should be sending weapons instead 🇺🇦

It is 2005, the internet is a distributed network of servers designed so that no one outage can take down the entire network

It is 2025, the internet relies on three companies, problems with any one of which can cripple a significant proportion of the global economy

There is a certain breed of entitled men who believe that women must fit in the boxes that men make for them, and that they, of course, don’t have a box.

Was looking up Massie on Wikipedia. Pro: An MIT grad who married a fellow engineer and has built a solar house. Con: Had his whole family photographed holding rifles for their 2021 Xmas card.
It really is inevitable. There’s nothing white America loves more than redemption of white villains, and the villains don’t actually have to do anything redeeming to get it. The act of deeming them redeemed is taken as redemptive in and of itself.
Look I’m just trying to prepare y’all for the inevitable VF profile on “the quiet strength” of Majorie Taylor Greene

I don't visit Starbucks because I don't like coffee and don't care for their pastry selection, but if you DO visit Starbucks, please consider that there is now a strike on.
Starbucks’ CEO makes 6,666x what the average @sbworkersunited.org barista does. It would take less than one day of sales to finalize a fair contract.

Baristas at Starbucks corporate stores nationwide are on strike to fight this corporate greed and get the fair contract they deserve.

Guess who's Senate Minority Whip? You know, the person whose job is to keep the caucus together at voting time?

Dick Durbin. One of the Quisling Eight.

Someone needs to be stripped of their position.

Trade needs good data.
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.

The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.

The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Why?

It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

Well said. Yes, people voted against Republicans, and "independent" candidates like Cuomo. But they voted FOR people they thought would do their damnedest against a storm of opposition.

(My only election was our election for City Council and School Committee, Australian ballot, no parties named.)
Listen Kaine, Hassan, King, Cortez-Masto, Durbin, Shaheen, Rosen, and Fetterman. You're NOT gonna take away my 2025 election joy. We voted in that election for folks to FIGHT for us. That doesn't include YOU.

YOU are what we voted AGAINST last Tuesday. So I'm gonna hang on to that.

Y’all really don’t get how Black women be in the TRENCHES outchea. Like, after last night, the first women mayors were elected in Albany, Detroit, and Syracuse. And every one of them is Black.
