I don't get to do a ton of Remembrance Day type stories anymore, but here's one from earlier this year I got to do on a documentary highlighting the Farmerette program

Glad to see Canada is also distancing itself from this. I'd prefer a clean break from all the shady shit the American administration is doing, but accept there are other factors at play. #CDNpoli

50 years ago today, Nov. 10, 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald sank beneath the waves of Lake Superior during a massive storm.
The sinking took the lives of all 29 men on the ship, and became immortalized in Gordon Lightfoot's song.
This is the story of this terrible tragedy.

With a “WOW!,” President Trump posts a claim about DOGE and “royalties linked to Obamacare” that originated on a satirical website. That site’s own About section reads: “Everything on this website is fiction… If you believe that it is real, you should have your head examined.”

His dismal approval numbers a mere 10 months into a presidency in which he’s doing exactly what he said he was going to do is a pretty sad indictment of the American political system.

NEW: Footage of a US citizen in Chicago being rammed then dragged from her car on her way to work.
Abducted, with no warrant, her family couldn’t find her for hours.
She was later released with NO CHARGE.
A DHS statement said she “violently resisted arrest, injuring two officers”.
You decide…

It is said that baseball is America's Pastime, but the first recorded baseball game in North American history happened north of their border.
It was way back in 1838 when two teams came together in a cow pasture near present-day Beachville, Ontario.

One perhaps unpopular take I have is that it's not helpful to seek out a medical explanation for why Donald Trump's brain acts the way it has acted for his entire adult life.
If Trump has dementia or whatever, it hasn't changed him much at all. He's the same dude.

I think if you're writing for Canada's highest circulation newspaper you owe it to your readers to call KFC and ask "hey is this your ad" and they'd gladly say "yes here's the receipt from MLB and the actor's name" before running with a "Fans Are Saying" story about inaccurately-described curses
