No one wants to read these posts but: Absolute nightmare trying to get Spotify Premium Family plan to function as it supposed to when using Amazon Alexa speakers in the house. Amazon Family accounts don’t want to play nice with Spotify profiles and this shit shouldn’t be this hard in 2025. 🤷‍♂️

Hadn’t seen this Deathstalker music video yet! Gives me joy.
Also includes a short discusion on Content Ratings that is equally illuminating.

No @vycevictus.bsky.social or Liam this week,
but don't let that get you down. Instead, enjoy a new 80's power ballad courtesy of Slash that came alongside DEATHSTALKER!

When I was, like, six years old I had my birthday party at Barnes & Noble — so this is really special!

If you live in Austin, TX, come hang out at B&N with me next weekend, and talk about your favorite Star Wars starfighter. @dkbooks.bsky.social

Lovely film. It worked its magic on me, and was loaded with actors I love who brought me joy to see them. Flanagan tells good stories. boxd.it/bIzlYP
A ★★★★ review of The Life of Chuck (2024)

Celine Song speaks to me and between this and PAST LIVES she’s clearly able to pull keen human insight into her romantic dramas. There’s more to this film than the trailers were selling! boxd.it/bFOqqL
A ★★★★ review of Materialists (2025)
I thought this was fantastic. Celine Song speaks to me and finds profundity in human connection. Don’t think I’ve ever seen supporting actress Zoe Winters but she’s incredible here, and this is the be...

Absolutely loved SORRY, BABY. Just a small intimate film with a unique approach to life’s ups and downs. Writer/Director/Star Eva Victor is way on my radar now! #SorryBaby boxd.it/bF2ddD
A ★★★★½ review of Sorry, Baby (2025)
Exceptional and precisely the level of human storytelling I needed right now.

Nobody likes this shit but: My TCL Fire TV has recently started pushing something out that mimics motion smoothing, even though the motion smoothing setting is indeed turned off. It’s doing it on streaming AND on my damn 4K player too. Any ideas for what might be happening and how to turn it off?!

TRAIN DREAMS: A beautiful, aching, searching film. Until it was over I wasn’t sure what all it was trying to say, but how analogous to life that experience is. Potent performances. An exploration of the sacredness of human connection. Incredible on the big screen, but coming to Netflix. #TrainDreams
