What a lovely, lovely wedding.

Also, I love Canadian events, 3 degrees and we're all going to hang out outside - dry out the sweat and we can hear each other better.

Keyboardist / singer is rocking a hard “Somebody to Love” I don’t know if it was her watching me alone (I’m kidding) but I’m feeling it. She sees me jamming.

Don’t know anyone at the cocktail reception but I’m used to being solo so I’m just soaking in the joy. Then someone comes up and says, “I appreciate your comfy shoes.”

… These are my good shoes.

The joy of a wedding for a dear writer friend. Joy is so precious. Time is so fleeting.

I cherish each person, each friendship, each moment.

It is my best defiance, my best way to live. The people I’ve met are in my thoughts at every moment. With love.

And if I’m here, I must be loved too. ❤️🙂

Every single white person with a platform in North American Anglophonic genre who is or appears comfortable with my deplatforming should be asked if they've spoken to me about Racehush and then (since none have) - why not and be held *accountable* for the answer.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I also urge wp to remember that racism isn't always a dislike of BIPOC. This is why they point to their BIPOC friends, family, associates.

They have control of the structures and spaces, they do what they want there, they get the benefit of them, and they don't want that to change.

I have personally and directly learned when and why "permanent ban without discussion or appeal" is used and it's when it's the granter knows it isn't justified.

Big, clear, red flag.
The real problem is that some murder jokes (by white people, about people who are not Jay) get 3 day suspension

And some murder jokes (by a Black user, about Jay) get unappealable permabans
everyone gets so mad at the mods here for doing basic mod shit. sometimes you gotta make a little murder joke and eat a three day ban for it. that’s life baby, there’s beauty in that.

I went so fast from "ah! hotel has vegan shampoo!" to "whew, how do people deal with perfumed shampoos... will it fade? do I need a second shower?"

same with laundry detergents, once you're used to natural, it's like whew what's that smell

Anyone remember when a video with my smiling face as its primary image was getting thousands of views per hour on a nazi site?

I do. They do.

The writers I thought would protect me stuck the blade in and ran.

I still feel that every moment.

So, again - stop supporting darvo and wake up, genre.

Comes in fantasy, mech, and role playing versions.

Guarantees protection for at least one year.

Last note before I skip off into a lovely gray London morning to get some coffee.

"How could this one disabled woman, who I've seen do some really important things, be so awful?"

I'm not!

I got marked by LC/---/D-/DM for takedown and genre wp fell over themselves to do it.

Re: Dream Foundry, I was banned for reasons, even if you 100% believe them, in disproportionate response to their own rules.

And that's if you don't think the person who did it isn't linked to the abuser at Gen Con. Which there are definitely multiple reasons to think.

Wake up, genre, wake up.

EIGHT MONTHS and not ONE to my knowledge or that anyone has pointed out to me

Tell me how that's remotely fine with you. Culturally.

I mean, really, really think about it. We know people know, I mean, I got instabanned from Dream Foundry for talking about it.
Look, re: the fact that I haven't seen a single cis white man - writer or platform - speak to why these translations are important.

1) My *saying* that is not the problem. (!)

2) How is that not indicative of a deeply racist, misogynistic power structure intent on not shifting any power?

Tell me.
November 14, 2025 at 3:25 PM
I'll even write a draft for any cis white man. Get this funded for us!

Here:

It's been brought to my attention that a group of mostly women have been trying to fund translations for an African small press and need $2820 to close this up.

(more at next)

Please keep in mind - English doesn't sound so sympathetic but this translation would:

- Allow most of *Africa* to read the story, people who don't read Shona

- Allow the writers to share with *us*

- NOT force writers to write *in* the colonial languages. It's not the same; it's a different loom.

(which is why I edited and published it)
One Arm Shorter Than the Other by Gigi Ganguly

I described this as "cozy pulp" earlier, and I stand by it. Connected short stories with all the gentle justice you might expect from @atthisarts.com, plus reminded me of a pulp anthology I'd recently read from @blaft.bsky.social.
