Cycling and walking could help deliver almost everything Brits say they want to achieve in 2026 — if we design streets to support them.

Getting fitter, losing weight, being healthier, saving money; enabling active travel quietly does all of it. With no gym contracts.

A study by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) shows that estimates about the damage done by Brexit have underestimated its impact over the course of a decade. Data now suggests that Brexit has reduced UK GDP by 6%–8%, reduced investment 12%–18%, and reduced productivity by 3%–4%.

Scotland's languages have historically faced subjugation, and today still face discrimination and nasty rhetoric.

I'm very proud that The National puts Gaelic front and centre in today's splash, thanks to a gorgeous illustration by Caitlin Ferguson, as the Mòd kicks off.

Nigel Farage wants energy-rich Scotland to become poorer by taking away vital support like free prescriptions and free tuition. And he has openly discussed privatising the NHS.

Only the SNP can beat him in Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse on 5th June.

Let’s build a Scotland that’s united, that aspires to be better, that rejects hate.

Farage doesn’t have a clue about Scotland - and Labour is too weak to stop him.

In the by-election next Thursday, only @katyloudonsnp.bsky.social and the SNP can stop Farage.

Vote for hope. #VoteSNP
