NEW:

“I’ve had enough…I’m refusing to back down.”

Texas state Rep. Nicole Collier speaks to MSNBC from the Texas State Capitol. She is stuck there after the Texas GOP required police surveillance as condition for release. She is refusing to sign a waiver for the law enforcement escort.

Actual question: It has been only 72 hours since the disastrous puppeteer/puppet show in Anchorage.

Has there yet been a background story on how, and by whom, this emergency intervention of *eight* big-time world leaders was pulled together, over a weekend?

WOW. @marcelias.bsky.social goes off on the failures of legacy media: "We have an absolute collapse and failure by the institutions that have promised us that democracy would not die in darkness, that in fact, they stand for the proposition that democracy will die in plain sight of daylight."

WTAF has happened to Texas? This is outrageous, simply so unAmerican it is beyond belief. Permission slip for what? Police escort to where? 😠🤬😱

Sure, we can talk about the pros and cons of mail-in ballots, but what’s really bad is when a guy in office needs 1,000 FBI agents to search for his name in the Epstein files to cover up all of his child raping.

I love to show up every day for my job, which is standing around holding the front of my tactical vest and getting told to choke to death by thousands of passers-by while 11 of my coworkers handcuff a roofer on his way to work. Every night I drive 80 minutes home, thinking about nothing at all.

Thinking about when Abe Lincoln once said that harsh measures were required at the beginning of the rebellion because, “every department of the Government was paralyzed by treason.”

No particular reason.

Dear National Guard & military members,

We, the pro-democracy resistance, are here for you when you're ready to lay your guns down and stop upholding fascism for a demented rapist.

We know not all of you want to shoot your neighbor because Orange wanted to stay out of jail.

Texas hasn't received FEMA aid yet. The callous disregard from officials is shocking. I hope Texans remember this in 2026. Ultimately, it seems the priority is enriching the wealthy using funds collected from struggling individuals.

Now is the time! This country isn't going to be saved by anyone but us. The American people. So, while the world starts to smolder and our democratic experiment is already up in flames, are you going to keep sitting there in disbelief or downright denial???

The cruelty is the priority.

I really struck a nerve here. I stand by what I said.
FROST: "They say they're pro-life because they want the baby to be born, go to school and get shot in the school. Die in the school, die on the streets."

FOXX: "You are not going to come into this room and impugn our integrity!"

They’re poised to make cuts to Medicaid and Affordable Care Act provisions which are so draconian that 17 million Americans will lose their healthcare

Yet they’ll spend the money to build Alligator Alcatraz and imprison thousands of immigrants there

Both these “policies” will cause people to die
It’s costing taxpayers $450/M annually & Alligator Alcatraz concentration camp is already flooding. Imagine a hurricane. People are going to die.

There’s always enough money to hurt folks, but when it comes to public transit, low-income housing, schools, or public healthcare, “Sorry, we’re broke.”

Anyway, she ain’t seen nothing yet.
