As I checked into a hotel tonight, man ahead of me was complaining that somehow fox news was blocked on room TV. The front desk figured someone did it on purpose, then changed access code. They have to reset the whole thing. Petty part of me wants to do this in all future hotel rooms I stay in.....

Thankful that @corybooker.com is one of my Senators. (And he's #vegan too!)
I may be tired and a little hoarse, but as I said again and again on the Senate floor, this is a moment where we cannot afford to be silent, when we must speak up.

Sen. Booker’s speech was a substantive and moral account of this moment. He did not read the phone book. He did not babble.
For 24 hours @booker.senate.gov laid out a detailed, damning, and critical narrative of truth, history, politics, morality, humanity.

What will you do?

Thurmond was the same age as Booker when he set the record Senator Cory Booker just broke.

Thurmond was afforded a bathroom break and read from the encyclopedia. Booker held the floor the entire time and delivered a consistent, cogent speech for more than 24 hours.

Incredible.

This was a choice. Fine won by 8 pts in the district Mike Waltz won by 30 pts just 5 months ago.

That the NYT frames it as “easily won” is a leading reason we are where we are.

Headlines matter. Framing matters.

Musk wouldn’t have taken questions in the Oval Office and looked like a cornered criminal if the pressure and attention wasn’t building.

Don’t stop highlighting that the richest man in the world is taking over government. Keep talking. Paper your city if you have to. Do not give in.

Okay, pals.

Time for action this month.

We're going to do that by funding classrooms that are specifically seeking out Black history books. These classrooms are those that are in historically underfunded communities.

These asks are from teachers whose students benefit directly.

@nytimes.com re: DC crash: "When asked how he could say [DEI] hiring was to blame for the crash .. he said, “Because I have common sense.” “For some jobs, we need the highest level of genius.”"

Instead of comfort in tragedy, Trump serves racism. This is why a pastor had to beg him to be merciful.

My Death & Afterlife class is talking about grief tomorrow. What's something someone said/did for you that brought your comfort in a time of grief?
What's something that was said/done that was less-than-helpful?
