Death by a thousand cuts. These censorious paypros and bills in committee will eat away at our ability to provide for ourselves. This is a sure outcome if we give up, but if we keep yelling we give ourselves another possibility
Adult games can no longer launch in Early Access on Steam. This is devastating for small projects (like my own!) because EA can be a much-needed lifeline while games are still in development
Heavy Hearts dev Dammitbird received the following notice from Steam, noting “your app has failed our review because we're unable to support the Early Access model of development for a game with mature themes”

This strikes me as overcompliance and censorious on Steam’s part

The region affected by catastrophic flooding in Central Texas typically averages 28 to 32 inches of rain in a year.
Instead, four months of rainfall came down in four hours.
How extraordinary rainfall caught Texans by surprise
There was little indication of how torrential the Texas downpours would become before dawn. At least 27 people were killed, many of them children at Camp Mystic.

Last night, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. abruptly dismissed all 17 members of the federal vaccine advisory committee.

“It’s a massive story in terms of the implications of where this may be going,” Jack Blanchard says on #playbookpod, “Everyone knows RFK Jr.’s stance on vaccines.”

BREAKING: Federal agents in plain clothes and unmarked cars tried to snatch 1st graders from LA elementary schools—told staff they had “parental consent.”

They lied. When pressed, they HID THEIR IDS. DHS admits they sent them. This wasn’t a welfare check. It was a test run for a police state.

55 years ago on May 4, 1970 the US NationalGuard shot 4 students dead who were protesting the Vietnam War at Kent State University. These students were just kids, Americans. It may be only a matter of time before our current government leaders send the military to do this to Americans again.
