It seems that Kaleb Horton has passed away. A devastating loss. One of the best writers of this generation. Kaleb was a friend for ten years and in all our conversations I was trying to convince him how good he was, something he seemed to know but also never fully believe. I am going to go cry now.

Newsom has backstabbed trans people and homeless people repeatedly, but you’re fine with that because you’re not affected. People like you demand one-way coalitions. Morally and strategically bankrupt.
So many people on the far left are not willing to do even basic coalitional politics (like not backstabbing someone fighting your enemy) to fight fascism.

The ease with which the west and its proxies have always been able to ignore the humanity of Palestinians. Of course I’m glad people are speaking up, but after two and a half years of soul curdling pain and grief and destruction, I have a lot of nauseating disdain.

@jonwurster.bsky.social I was at the show tonight. I saw an REM cover band in the same venue 6 years ago. They were great. I just wasn’t into it. Cover bands don’t do it for me. You sounded like a band. Not a cover band. I loved It.
