As all.other social media is a right wing toilet, I thought I'd give this a go.
I love all things fantasy and sci fi, motor racing, 90s music, LFC, computer and board games, bottomless brunches and walking yappy dogs. Oh, I also do cancer research

Labour are right to lower the voting age.

But if they're truly serious about creating a fair democracy:

Time to abolish the unelected House of Lords.

And time for Proportional Representation for all elections.

The BBC are constantly bending over backwards to please Reform.

I fear they're becoming a mouthpiece for Nigel Farage, a guy who wants to destroy them.

Insane that the British Foreign Secretary can meet with the former leader of Al Qaeda in Syria while, at home, on the same day, his government arrested 20 people on 'terrorism offenses' for supporting a non-violent pro-Palestine protest group.

I don't think anyone expected him to say anything better.

But he'd probably have been better maintaining his usual silence.

Iran were negotiating - when Israel launched a war on them. The US joined in - and now our Prime Minister basically says "well they were asking for it.'

In 2003, anti-war activists broke into RAF Fairford to stop US bombers heading to Iraq.

Keir Starmer defended their actions and said it was justified to prevent war crimes.

Now his government is banning Palestine Action for doing the same.

The Prime Minister is a hypocrite.

Keir Starmer wants to talk about disgraceful?

Try standing with Netanyahu during a genocide.

Arming Israel.

Sharing intelligence.

Refusing to rule out joining an illegal war.

That’s the real disgrace.
Keir Starmer has condemned the action as a 'disgraceful act of vandalism.'

Just spoke to Jim Diamond at LBC about the need for a wealth tax.

Rachel Reeves has made her own self imposed fiscal rules.

It's obscene to be squeezing international aid & development at the same time as spending money on more bombs.

Chancellor talks about energy security but yet again - just another way of funding private capital.

What about investing in renewables & nationalising our energy companies?

What about energy efficiency & prioritising insulating homes of poorest households?

Bring bills down.

More funding for the NHS is always welcome.

But this doesn't look like enough.

And slashing local services which keep us healthy is a classic example of only treating symptoms, not the cause.

End the hostile environment.

Migrants welcome and tax the rich.

That’s why we’re building power in communities and at Westminster.

That’s how we win.

Privatised water monopolies have failed, clearly and catastrophically - and it's customers and the environment that are paying the price for shareholder profits. It's long past time to bring water back into public hands, where it belongs.

In the Chamber today I challenged the govt’s so called “defence” spending plan—a whopping £15 billion on nuclear weapons that must never be used.

That money could be used to deliver real security: affordable housing, strong public services, climate resilience, and pandemic preparedness.

We need to make the Labour Government more scared of losing votes and seats to the Green Party than to Reform.

I'm in this week's @bigissue.com talking about how we can make this happen.
