Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

Another reminder to NEVER, EVER throw trans people aside for electoral gain.
UNTIL IT’S DONE, Ep. 4: Sylvia Rivera

In the 1970s, queer New Yorkers had been pushed to the margins of NYC. Our trans neighbors faced immense cruelty. But in Sylvia Rivera, they found a champion.

As we combat Trump’s politics of darkness, her legacy can light the path forward.

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

A WILD ONE: A man broke his leg during an arrest by ICE at a car wash south of L.A.

ICE has held him under 24/7 guard at a hospital, registering him under a pseudonym, for *37 days* without telling him why.

A judge has ordered his immediate release.

Never feel like you’re powerless. Together, nothing can stop our might.
This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

NEW: Rachel Maddow drops unseen bodycam footage of feds coordinating the arrest of Newark Mayor Baraka.

I REPEAT: the feds ordered his arrest even though he wasn’t breaking any laws.

Federal agent: “We are arresting the mayor right now per the Deputy Attorney General of the United States.”

The comments directed @radiofreetom.bsky.social over the last few days about whether we are currently living in what can properly be described as a fascist state are completely missing his point.

But they want us to think they do.

As the Right pushes hard to punish anyone who said anything they don’t like about Charlie Kirk, they will be offering you several narratives about it: (1) We’re only doing this because YOU did it first, YOU invented cancel culture, turnabout is fair play (2) YOU pushed us into this

The assassination of Charlie Kirk makes we worry we can no longer have peaceful discussions of whether gays should be stoned to death or civil and collegial debates about whether black people are inherently inferior. Our culture will suffer.

These are all people who wanted to kill their enemies before Charlie Kirk was shot, are more vocal about it now, and will keep lusting for it long after Charlie Kirk has been buried. Today’s biggest event could have been a dog farting and they would have reacted by wanting you dead.

Boosting because of the thread where this creator reposted this.
Sometimes “conspiracy theories” are created to delegitimize inquiry into actual conspiracies.

It is a very effective tactic that can convince people to ignore the implications of what is happening out in the open.

I was in a bookstore today. They have such an amazing vibe. I still love reading physical books. Mainly, I try to check out books through the Libby app and read them on Kindle.

But bookstores….they’re special.

Data from 600k students shows they outscore every other major on reasoning, curiosity and open-mindedness.
