I’ve been watching Hello, Ja Du to help me with listening to Korean, and let me tell you, this show is unhinged even without understanding most of what they say.

Holland is a garbage movie with bad writing, bland characters, and a ridiculous attempt to use Dutch culture as a backdrop. The dialogue is unbelievably unrealistic, the plot holes are everywhere, and the movie is way too long at 1 hour 50 minutes, culminating in an unsatisfying ending.

My husband and I watched this just now. I’d never seen it, BUT OH MY GODS, this film is completely and utterly unhinged and has layers of mind-fuckery.

How does someone who LOOKS obviously gay try to ban Marriage Equality? Stop the game.

A German horror film. Good acting and a creepy atmosphere. Lots of foreshadowing. You can figure out where the film is going fairly easily. I would say some of the “spiritual” elements could have been better explained or emphasized or integrated into the film. Worth the watch.

The Coffee Table, originally “La mesita del comedor,” is fairly disturbing. This film did not do nor go where I anticipated initially, but I practiced my media literacy by looking below the surface of the film and enjoyed it for what it was.
