no CGI, green screen or special effects in this commercial.

Now ponder how crazy-brilliant, cool & miraculously well timed every part of this advert is.

It was 22 years ago that I unmasked the highest placed spy for British military intelligence inside the IRA

This week, the British state tried to say it was all over

It’s not. Justice will remain denied until the army is forced to reveal exactly what it did

That the United States, out of the goodness of its heart, would spend money on protecting us Europeans, money that could also have gone to tax cuts for the rich at home... I find it baffling that Europeans buy that argument.
The thousands of soldiers the US has stationed in Ramstein, Germany are (mostly) not here to protect us, but rather to project US power in the Middle East and Africa.
But NATO is no longer seen as a force-multiplier by this government. Allies are a nuisance and a liability.

Europe is entering a defining moment.
Our liberal democracy is under pressure from those who want to erode it from within, and from those outside who tell us to lower our standards.

Our strength comes from staying true to who we are: a democratic, green, social and rule-based Union.

Both US and European arms manufacturers stand to benefit from the pledge, which Spain intends to fulfil by using the EU's SAFE defence loans, and aligning some spending with an earlier NATO pledge

I will never forget having to edit Jamal’s final, posthumous piece for the Washington Post, after he was murdered.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Everyone has heard of the weight loss drug Ozempic. Other brands include Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound. These are all basically the same and are based on a natural hormone called GLP-1.
