It’s hilarious and revelatory that a bunch of giant MAGA/America First X accounts are actually based in Eastern Europe and Nigeria.

Two movies I've really enjoyed that were welcome surprises...

Night Call - probably little know French film, propulsive, on the edge of the seat stuff.

Vital piece of investigative reporting from Sky. They've uncovered the X algorithm which feeds users extremist right wing material from the moment they join the site. It is a far-right radicalisation engine, by design.

Some problems have constraints and force thinking of alternative solutions. Lender of last resort being tax payers and bail outs - just getting ridiculous now.

Great piece by @thequietus.com on 25 Best Pieces of Horror Fiction - reminded me I have Black Hole on my shelf and intend to pop that this weekend. Going to refer to this and buy some of the others.

Blind (and much of mainstream media!): the AWS outage is the result of “mass layoffs, outsourced talent.”

Me: talks to the AWS engineers handling the incident. Turns out the creators of the systems impacted were in the call (not laid off!), no outsourcing etc

Great title!
The top three things Jesus was on about were feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and welcoming the stranger. Rich men have convinced so-called Christians to starve the hungry, gut health care, and deport the stranger to enrich themselves. It’s astoundingly anti-Christ.

Reuters reporting on what we already know - that Reform is accepting crypto donations.

As a former anti-corruption specialist, let me be clear. Crypto should be nowhere near UK politics.

The risks around anonymity, tracing ownership & manipulation of instruments are all good reason to act.
New: Farage confirms my scoop for @theobserveruk.bsky.social from two weeks ago, that Reform has started to receive crypto donations

He told Reuters that Reform UK had already received "a couple" of donations in the form of crypto assets, without giving further details

This is just insane, no offline mode, a bed that requires security updates. If the company goes out of business and disables its cloud services you effectively have a bricked device. You're in a design meeting and you sign this off - and this is probably without LLM designed/generated code.
