The good news Jesus proclaims to the hungry isn't that God likes it when people are hungry and they should be hungry because hunger is blessed - the hungry are blessed *in the promise of eating and being filled*

And, while we’re on the topic, I’ll get on another old soapbox of mine: if your congregation has an AED, I strongly encourage you to consider adding two EpiPens and a stop the bleed kit to it, or getting a stand alone bleeding control station for wall mount.
Stop The Bleed training isn’t doomerism and it isn’t giving up on a better world with less violence. It’s being prepared for an extremely common cause of pre-hospital death that can be caused by falls or other accidents in addition to violence. It is like being trained in CPR and AED use.
