What’s incredible here is every “bad” decision on tangents really seems like a well thought out approach to creating genuinely interesting art.

Reading Blood Meridian strangely enough gave me further insight into the actions of people in power, and the dehumanization they proliferate. In it, you see men, at first (seemingly) motivated by money, instead become motivated out of indifference or psychopathy - needless violence and hatred.

I don't know why the UN's statement about the famine in Gaza today being immediately met with people saying "that's a lie and they're biased" surprised and shocked me, but it did. In a post-truth world, people are happy to just say "no, I don't believe it" about anything, and it's utterly depressing

I brought this post up in a session today, attempting to encourage the individual to express themselves creatively without regarding if it is “cringe” or not, instead being more accepting of their personal expression. I think it landed, but we will see.
i think cringe is only bad and worthy of mockery when it is used for evil. if someone is being honest and kind they are a beautiful angel beyond reproach
