Saddened to hear of the passing of Professor Jack Spence. He acted as external examiner for my PhD and was extremely supportive during my early years as an academic. RIP.

Greens are on the up. We have already achieved so much, but there is more to be done offering a true alternative to this dire version of Labour.

Let’s get to it! 💚

We’re in a child poverty emergency, and it'll only get worse unless the Government does more.
Gambling giants don't pay their fair share but taxing them more could raise billions to help children.

Outrageous. Britain is being sued in a corporate court, for stopping the Cumbria coal mine.

We’ve been saying for years that this system of corporate courts (ISDS) is an obstacle to climate action and democratic politics. Now it couldn’t be clearer

Excellent article that highlights the consequences of the Supreme Court's decision on freedom of information and the UK's #post-Brexit trade negotiations. Despite a change in government there appears to be no change in approach and #tradedemocracy is still needed.
As post-Brexit trade deals are bartered, the UK government refuses to be transparent about the future of climate policy, food, tech, medicines and more.
Brexit trade meetings remain a state secret
Secrecy maintained over the extent to which Britain is willing to abandon environmental and consumer protections to secure trade deals after Brexit.
