Slack seemed to have rolled out something recently(?) that has 1. broken my thread view for adding emojis 2. Broken my unread view for groups.
Both not a blocker, but just wanted to flag 🙃

interesting to see how folks are optimizing referral traffic to their sites nowadays with respect to LLMs on a recent Lenny's podcast episode.
and on a personal side note: always kinda cool to hear companies you worked for mentioned in a nice way

Someone had their AI note taker join a meeting, but the person themselves was missing. I guess that's a good use of time? 😅

A tip from Julie Kratz's book, "We Want You: An Allyship Guide for People with Power"

"Power with" someone and share our power. E.g, “I’ll introduce you and let you schedule a meeting."

Don't "power over" them to maintain your power. E.g., "I’ll set up the meeting for you."

NYC friends: this poor dog was almost on his freedom ride out of the pound when his foster didn't show up on him. He's now in danger of being put down. Do you have space in your home and heart to adopt him? ❤️

Also, lots of animals at this NYC shelter who need a home.

36 years ago tonight the Chinese government ordered troops to clear Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, which had been progressively taken over by protesters since April 1989.
Troops opened fire and used APCs to retake the Square.
There were thousands of casualties.

The thing that scared me the most about trying vibe coding is the rate at which the computer spat out lines of code that I did not at _all_ understand.

Very reminiscent of the scene from Lirael where the Disreputable Dog manifests.
