They don't want Dem votes because they need them to keep going on a tyrannical crime spree. It's because they're useful to pretend it's all normal and legal, that it's something other than a tyrannical crime spree. They want the appearance of legitimacy. Nothing is worth giving that to them.

It might be too much to say “programmed”, but it seems like grok’s prompt “you are grok, built by xAI, etc” combined with it’s training and instruction to use x posts as a source of info, causes it to prefer using Elon’s (owner / CEO of xAi) posts when answering as itself

If you ask the new Grok (via grok.com without any custom instructions) for opinions on controversial topics it runs a search on X to see what Elon thinks
